Customer Review: This book was very well organized and set in areas that were the most helpful to me; MedSurg, Peds (there are also others as well). It was a great asset when I was struggling with my care plans during nursing school because of its format and its intervention and rationales. The interventions and rationales were very short and to the point which comes in handy at 12 at night. I would recommend this book to any nursing student that is having trouble or just needs some extra help with their care plans.

Customer Review: Elizabeth Pantley has done it again! Just when I thought I'd learned everything I could from her, she's produced another volume full of valuable advice for parents who are desperate to get their kids to nap. Anyone who has raised a toddler knows that naptime battles are inevitable. But Pantley's unique genius is her ability to provide specific, practical, and effective strategies that are tried and true. New parents are so fortunate to have the benefit of her parenting expertise for such a small price. Even veteran parents - including grandparents - can learn something from reading this book, because as we all know, each child is different, and it always helps to be armed with a few new...

Customer Review: This manual is decent as a pocket reference while on the floor, but lacks the comprehensivity of a good desk reference. There are many common pediatric conditions (such as hernias, slipped femoral capital epiphysis, etc.) that don't even get a mention in the Harriet Lane. This reference is definitely made for someone who has some experience and background in pediatrics, since much of the information on the various conditions is written in a telegraphical format and assumes that the reader has a basic background in pathophysiology and disease. The best part of this handbook is the medication synopses (it tells you only what you need to know, not an overload of information like the PDR), as we...

Customer Review: I specifically requested for new edition and received the wrong book. It was unless to us and with the return policies would not have been worth it to mail it back so I had to just throw it away.

Customer Review: The Lange case files books are great, the pediatric one included. Putting this information into a case really helps make it memorable and manageable.

Customer Review: I wouldn't waste my money. I thought it would have good questions. The reviews took up most of the book with only 2-3 pages of questions at the end of each chapter. In addition with this I purchased F.A. Davis Maternal-NOW THAT'S A WONDERFUL BOOK.

Customer Review: We had problems with our 3 year old son who was afraid to poop. We did enter that magic cycle of holding all poo for three days because of the fear and then, of course, having a very painful poop. While I can't say that this book was "the" solution it was part of the many things we tried to use. I guess that at the end, this book along with everything else helped us solve his very painful problem.
All in all, definitely worth the purchase price even if it only is responsible for 10% of the solution.
