Customer Review: Spiritual Midwifery is a unique take on the way birth can be. My criticisms are that it can seem a little too hippy dippie for the average mom, & after reading it again, it occurred to me that though these midwives were practicing as lay midwives (at the time, before becoming CPMs), they had exceptional advice & support from their local doctor, who was very familiar with birth at home, and with birth as a natural process. It seems to me that this is the best of both worlds: to be able to have both the spiritual side of birth as well as medical knowledge, specifically when birthing at home. Customer Review: This book is highly contradictory and badly written. The book has 24 different authors (even though it says only two on the cover), usually one for each chapter, and I don't believe the chapters were reviewed for consistency and possible discrepancies before the chapters were thrown together. I had to have this book for nursing school and this book did not help me at all. A waste of money- all it's really good for is toilet paper when you're out...

Customer Review: I use Ms. Morris' book religiously for any new situation that occurs with my Mother, which with Alzheimer's can be a daily occurrence. The author has already been down this road and has been kind enough to compile a ton of helpful information to assist us on our journey. I counsel my clients to purchase this book as soon as they have any fear about having to care for a parent. This book is an essential part of my library. I know you can get this information on the internet but why not have a one stop source!
