Customer Review: This man and this book scare me in two ways. Let me say that this was the first book about therapy that I read after starting my own therapy. I was a novice looking for a little insight into a process that was to me a little strange. First of all I find Dr. Yalom incredibly arrogant, he practically oozes hubris. I read two more of his books after this one and my initial assessment of his arrogance was confirmed. That is scary part #1. A therapist with an outsized ego.

Customer Review: I love this book!! As a of parent 4, the oldest being an 11 yo boy with AS it was the most helpfull (and I'v read alot!!). Cause its writen by a 13 yo boy with AS its also a fun cute at times funny read. It helped so much with the nagging questions you have as a parent..like weather or not to tell them of there dx?? or why do they do that all the time and should I stop them?? I first read this when my son was first dx with AS at 7...I'm rereading it now that he is in Adolescence, Then I will have him read it. I think he will very much enjoy it as he can so relate with Luke. I have asked his Middle school teachers to read it aswell. Never really understood what whent on in my boys head ...

The boys always had the dx but my husband was hesitant to accept the diagnosis. Although I knew what AS was and felt I was very knowledgable I wasn't. This book really takes you from the begining of a diagnosis, TO HOW TO AFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE AND UNDERSTAND YOURSELF AND YOUR AS FAMILY MEMBER.
